'Twin Peaks' gets new life on Blu-Ray

Los Angeles, California - Nearly 25 years after it first debuted on ABC, the Emmy-nominated series "Twin Peaks" is heading to Blu-Ray for the first time.

The series, which starred Kyle MacLachlan as an idiosyncratic F.B.I. agent tasked with solving a murder in a small town, became an unexpected hit when it debuted in the early 1990s.

While it was canceled after two seasons, the show would get its own motion picture adaptation and a strong cult following in the years after it left the air.

The box set, called "Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery," contains every episode of the show and the movie, "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me" - as well as nearly 90 minutes of footage cut from the motion picture.

The box set goes on sale Tuesday.
