Sex offender arrested in Livonia

Livonia, NY -  A convicted sex offender from Lakeville is facing a felony charge for failing to register a new address.

Livingston County Sheriff's Office arrested Jason Savoy, 32, on Failure to Register and to Verify.

Under New York State Corrections Law, a sex offender has to register a new address with the Division of Criminal Justice no later than 10 days after moving.

Investigators say Savoy moved from his address on June 1st and did not file a new address in a timely manner with any law enforcement agency.

Savoy was arrested by Investigator Dan Rittenhouse after an investigation.

Savoy is being held in the Livingston County Jail.
