Police: Man electrocuted stealing wires

PERRY, N.Y. (AP) -- Wyoming County authorities say a man has died of his injuries, days after he was electrocuted by a 35,000-volt power line as he tried to steal copper wire from a NYSEG substation.

Andrew Mower grabbed the line as he climbed atop a transformer.

A second man who allegedly was part of the theft remains jailed.
