Controversial mom bailed out of jail
Rochester, N.Y. - A woman accused of leaving her son in a hot car while she worked at a local restaurant has been released from jail.
According to a Go Fund Me page for Thelma Edwards, enough money was raised to pay Edwards' $2,000 bail.
That page is still open and accepting more donations for the single mom.
The fundraiser's founder, Aleda Moon, wrote that she met with Edwards and believes that starting the fundraiser to bail her out was the right decision.
She also said Edwards has been granted visitation with her son.
Edwards told authorities she left the four-year-old in the car at TGI Friday's in Victor because there was no one to watch him.
