Red-light cameras extended for five years

Rochester, N.Y. - Red-light cameras in Rochester and Yonkers were extended for five years by Governor Andrew Cuomo.

The governor signed the bills into place Tuesday.

The extension gives the City of Rochester the option to install or keep the cameras already in place.

32 intersections in Rochester are being monitored by cameras.

New red-light cameras were also approved in New Rochelle and Mt. Vernon.
