Travel and boating advisories

A travel advisory has been issued for all of Livingston County and parts of Ontario County.

The Livingston County Sheriff's Office is asking residents not to drive or operate boats on Conesus Lake due to debris from heavy rain. Marine Patrol Deputies are on the water to handle any boating emergencies.

In addition, the Ontario County Sheriff's Office is urging motorists in the Hamlet of Honeoye and the towns of Canadice and Richmond to stay off the roads so emergency vehicles and highway crews can pass.

Several roads in and around Honeoye were flooded by heavy rains. Emergency crews warn some roads in Richmond may become washed out, as well.

County Road 36 is closed at both Route 20A and near Jersey Hill Road. Deputies also shut down County Roads 15 and 37.

A flash flood warning remains in effect for portions of Monroe and Ontario Counties until 12:45 p.m., and a flood watch is active across all of Western New York until 5 p.m. Monday. Meteorologists predict 2-3 inches of rain in some parts of the region.
