Car crashes into Pittsford home

Pittsford, N.Y. - A car crashed into a Monroe County home around 1:00 a.m. Thursday, but no one was injured.

Deputies said that 18-year-old William Cooper was traveling at about 95 miles per hour in the area of Stone and Tobey Roads. As he approached a stop sign at the intersection, he said was unable to stop.

His vehicle slid across the yard of a nearby home until it hit the house.

The homes porch, exterior and interior walls and kitchen counters were damage, but no serious damage was done to the structure.

Cooper was ticketed for speeding, failing to stop at a stop sign, and moving from a lane unsafely.
