New video in Henrietta Hots arrest

Henrietta, N.Y. Three Monroe County Sheriffs deputies were involved in an arrest at Henrietta Hots Wednesday that was recorded by a friend of the man arrested. New surveillance video from inside the restaurant shows a different version of events.

Ryan Conklin, the man who was arrested, described his encounter with the deputies as aggressive.

He got aggressive with me, he came right at me aggressively and it concerned me and I was actually quite startled that that happened, because the way I was speaking to him was as I would talk to any person, Conklin said.

According to security camera footage, Conklin was in Henrietta Hots for at least 4 minutes before deputies touch him. Hes seen speaking in their direction for more than 2 minutes.

Conklin claims he was asking the deputies why they were taking their lunch break at the same time when bar patrons could be driving home drunk.

Deputies claim Conklin was yelling very loudly, yelling profanities at the deputy, being belligerent, being out of hand and that is supported by three employees as well, said John Helfer, spokesman for the Monroe County Sheriffs Office.

Conklin was ticketed for disorderly conduct and is due in court next month.
