Wife of murder suspect behind bars

The wife of man accused of murdering two women in Wayne County in 2013 has been arrested for failing to cooperate with the investigation.

Authorities say 31-year-old Yahaira Contes is a material witness in the double-murder case that goes to trial in September.

The district attorney says Contes has failed to show up in court and provide testimony that may implicate her husband, Dante Taylor, in these crimes.

Last July, Taylor was arrested and accused of killing Terry and Tracy Moulton in Sodus. The two interrupted a burglary while looking in on a neighbors pets while the neighbors were out of town.

A hearing this month will determine if Contes has to remain in jail until Taylors trial is over. She is currently being held on $5,000 bail.
