Irondequoit Bay dredging begins

Rochester, N.Y. Dredging of the Irondequoit Bay began Monday, with most of the project focusing on the channel between the piers of the bay.

About $750,000 came from the Disaster Relief Act in order to get rid of silt from Superstorm Sandy.

The dredging should last about a week.
