Immigration debate plays out in California

Murrieta, Calif. National focus has turned back to immigration, after a group of locals in Murrieta, Calif. stopped a bus loaded with undocumented child immigrants from entering the town.

The small California town made the news, and locals say not in a good way after the national debate on immigration played out there.

Locals said that they were trying to protect their city, which lies between Los Angeles and San Diego.

In the middle of the debate is Ismael Bugarin, an immigrant from Mexico who has been living in Murrieta for 20 years. Bugarin said that he can see both sides of the issue.

How many kids? Whats going to happen? Theyre going to be holding them here, but whats going to happen next? I hope its going to be, for our community, a positive, eventually, Bugarin said.
