Neighbors slow down traffic

Residents in the South Wedge neighborhood of Rochester were out in the streets Wednesday to slow down traffic.

The volunteers are from the Block Clubs Living in the South Wedge.

The effort is part of a voice of the citizen initiative in Rochester.

They say they love their city streets and just want to keep them safe.

"We want people to understand that we live here," says Judy Bennett. "We walk our dogs, we have children and wed like drivers to be a little more cognizant of what is a safe speed to travel on these narrow residential streets."
