Mott's plant to expand in Williamson

Williamson, N.Y. - The Mott's plant in Williamson will undergo a multi-million dollar expansion.

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday plans to add new manufacturing lines, updated machinery, and other general renovations at the plant where Motts juice, applesauce and other items are produced.

The expansion will create 20 jobs and allow the company to produce its fast-growing Motts Snack & Go pouches.

New York State, through Empire State Development (ESD) and its Excelsior Job Program, is providing up to $300,000 in performance-based tax credits over 10 years in return for Motts proposed investment and job creation commitments.

Motts, a subsidiary of Dr Pepper Snapple Group, is the leading purchaser of apples in New York.
