Elementary students fight for cursive

Kendall, N.Y. -- Local students are fighting to get cursive handwriting back in the classroom.

Five students from Kendall Elementary are petitioning the school board to get cursive handwriting added to the curriculum.

They made posters with their reasons and have signatures from other students supporting it.

Cameron Faulks, a fourth-grader, explains why he wants to learn it.

"So we can sign our legal name and read letters from our grandparents and write fast and to read the bills of rights," says Faulks.
