Damages costs soar after Napa quake

Napa, California – Residents near Napa, California could be feeling aftershocks for weeks after Sunday morning’s 6.0 earthquake.

The community began cleaning up and taking stock of the damage from its most powerful earthquake in 25 years.

More than 200 people were injured; most treated for minor cuts and bruises.

At least 100 buildings have been damaged. Nearly 50 of them are too unstable to enter.

Some families are packing up after spotting cracks in their home’s foundation.

Power has been restored to much of the city. In dozens of homes, residents are still waiting for the water to turn back on.

As bad as the physical damage was, the financial damage could be much worse.

Experts say the damage could reach 1 billion dollars.
