Stewart's future unclear

Tony Stewart's team said Friday that his plans for the rest of the season are unclear.

Stewart's car struck and killed 20-year-old Kevin Ward Junior. Ward exited his crashed sprint car under a caution flag and was walking down the track when it happened.

Stewart's team says he is not ready to get back in the race car and there's no timetable for his return.

"Anytime someone is lost especially at a race track it is tragic," says Brett Frood, Executive Vice President of Stewart-Hass Racing. "It was a tragic accident and he's dealing with quite a bit of grief."

Funeral services were held Thursday for Ward.

Racing will resume Saturday night at Canandaigua Motorsports Park.
