Technician pleads guilty to stealing pills

Pittsford, NY - A Rochester woman pleaded guilty to stealing pills from patients at an assisted living facility.

Deborah Cleveland, a former medication technician, stole 650 narcotic pills from patients at Heather Heights Assisted Living and Memory Facility in the Town of Pittsford.

Cleveland tried to conceal the theft by giving patients pills with a similar appearance.

The patients range in age from 66 to 98-years-old.

Cleveland is expected to receive a sentence of probation and four weekends in the Monroe County Jail.

She will be sentenced on October 16.
