Henrietta, N.Y. A feasibility study is being conducted at the Dome Arena in Henrietta. Renovations could start as early as next spring.

The businessman plans on pouring $2 million into the 1972 Dome Arena to update the facility. He said an apartment complex will also be built on the property.
The Town of Henrietta has expressed interest in purchasing 10 acres of the property for a 40,000 square foot recreation facility.
Our Town Park and our Town Complex adjoins this facility, said Supervisor Jack Moore. We would be able to then have our rec facility within our Town Complex so it would be much easier for employees and for residents to find.
Moore said Chiarenza will have to seek the Town's approval for the plans. The property is already zoned for commercial, multi-family living and residential, so a hotel is also a possibility on site.
Rochester is known for tearing down beautiful buildings and for someone to renovate it and keep the building, I'm all for that, said Loretta Ponder of Henrietta.
I think they could do a lot of things with it [Dome Arena], but I think it needs to be renovated, said Tracy Cipriano of Henrietta. It needs to look a little bit better.
Chiarenza is also renovating the Suburban Plaza on E. Henrietta Rd.
