Eccleston is accused of leaving the scene of the accident that killed 20-year-old Joseph Pacheco on Howard Road in Gates.

Pacheco was struck and killed at 12:08 a.m. as he walked home from work on Tuesday, August 12th.

Pacheco's mother, Louanne Rivera, said she's relieved an arrest has been made, but is disgusted it took Eccleston over a week to turn herself in to police.

"I kind of blame her parents, because they're the ones who have been hiding her and helping instead of making her own up to what she did," said Rivera. "If it was a mistake you have to own up to your mistakes, you can't just run away from them, especially when you kill somebody."

Eccleston is charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury incident resulting in death, a class D Felony.

She pled not guilty in Gates Town Court Friday and was released on $2500 bond.

Pacheco leaves behind a 9-month-old son.
