Deputies: Kids unattended, played near street

Shortsville, N.Y. - An Ontario County woman is facing child endangerment charges after deputies said that she fell asleep watching her two and three-year old children.

The Ontario County Sheriff's Office said that 24-year-old Kristen Drennan fell asleep on her couch while her children were playing. A passer-by told deputies that they saw the children by the road after they had pushed a stroller into traffic.

Deputies said that several cars had to swerve out of the way to avoid the stroller.

Drennan was ticketed and will appear in court on a later date.
