Thunderbird visit Golisano Children’s Hospital

Rochester, N.Y. – Sick children at Golisano Children’s Hospital got the chance to hang out with some of the world’s premier fighter pilots Friday.

The Thunderbirds, the U.S. Air force’s Aerial Demonstration Squadron are in town this weekend for the KwikFill International Airshow.

They met with kids at the hospital, like 12-year-old Samaya Cameron, who has sickle cell.

“It’s trying at times, it’s very nice seeing them smile, I love seeing that little perk you get when you see them,” says Staff Sergeant Sean Gilbert.

“I don’t meet many famous people and it’s fun to have an experience,” says Cameron.
The air show runs through Sunday.
