Double-decker buses crash in NYC

New York (AP) -- A crash involving two double-decker tour buses in Times Square has injured 14 people, three of them seriously.

The Fire Department of New York says none of the injuries in the crash is believed to be life-threatening.

The accident occurred Tuesday afternoon around 47th Street and Seventh Avenue in Manhattan, an area usually teeming with tourists near the TKTS discount Broadway ticket booth. It shut down a stretch of Seventh Avenue.

City officials say bus passengers were among at least eight people treated at the scene.

Rose Cantillon is visiting the city from Ireland and was nearby. She says she was sitting on a bench when she "heard screaming" and ran.
