Batavia man arrested in robbery

Rochester,NY -  A Batavia man was arrested Monday in connection with a robbery in Rochester.

Trashawn Bell was charged Wednesday with second-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

He and several other men, who have yet to be identified, are accused of robbing a 24-year-old Rochester woman on Brighton Street.

Police said the woman was walking to her car from her apartment about 12:15 a.m. when she was approached by three men who tackled her from behind, stole her car keys and other items before taking her car.

The woman was not injured.

Bell will be arraigned in City Court Thursday morning.

Police continue to investigate this case.
