Canandaigua construction project jump start

Canandaigua, N.Y. The long-delayed construction on the North Shore development project in Canandaigua is expected to begin this fall, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Tuesday morning at CMAC.

The North Shore is a proposed 21 acre mixed use development project on the northern shore of Canandaigua Lake.

Cuomo said $3 million in state funding is giving the multi-million dollar project the lift it needed.

We have about $3 million thats leveraging $48 million in private investment. Hundreds of jobs, plus tax revenues. That is a smart public-private sector partnership, Governor Andrew Cuomo said.

The Governors Office also confirmed that the land issue that was holding up the project has been resolved.
