ROC man arrested in Tennessee

A Rochester man was arrested in Franklin, Tennessee before he was slated to perform at a Nashville music venue.

Joel Thompson, 25, was wanted on a felony theft charge after he was accused of shoplifting $4,000 worth of cords and adapters from a Walmart in Franklin in June 2013, according to a release from the Franklin Police Department.

Officers found that Thompson was coming to Nashville to perform with the band Courtesy Drop at The End on Elliston Place on Tuesday.

Police said that they saw Thompson moving equipment into the venue when they took him into custody.

Thompson was booked into Williamson County Jail on $25,000 bond. Franklin police said he also was wanted in Maury, Henry and Cheatham counties.
