Sheriff: No evidence of criminal intent

Canandaigua, N.Y. Forensic teams with the Ontario County Sheriffs Office are reviewing several videos from fans who witnessed a fatal accident at Canandaigua Motorsports Park Saturday involving NASCAR driver Tony Stewart.

Kevin Ward, Jr., 20, of Port Leyden was hit and killed as he was walking on the track after an on track accident.

According to Ontario County Sheriff Phil Povero, the investigation is ongoing, but there is no factual evidence to support claims of criminal intent on the part of anyone at the track.

Investigators are still waiting on autopsy results on the victim.
