Police investigating fatal crash

Chili, N.Y. – Investigators are trying to determine what caused the crash that killed a woman in Chili Monday night.

The sheriff’s office is withholding the name of the victim, but friends and her boss tell 13WHAM they learned last night that it was 20-year-old Madeline Gee from Scottsville who died in the crash.

Gee graduated from Wheatland Chili High School in 2012 and worked at Erie Grill in Pittsford.

She was attending Monroe Community College with hopes of working in hospitality management.

Investigators say Gee appeared to lose control of her car in the Monday night’s heavy rain. She then swerved into the oncoming lane of Scottsville Road.

The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital out of precaution but is expected to be okay.

The general manager of Erie Grill called Gee a caring, friendly person who touched a lot of people. He said she’ll be missed.
