Players closing in on Dufner at PGA

Pittsford, N.Y. (AP) - Jason Dufner's overnight lead is down to one shot in the third round of the PGA Championship. Dufner got off to a solid start under sunny, dry conditions, with four straight pars. But the 2011 PGA Championship runner-up put his tee shot on the 5th hole into the water and that led to a double bogey.

Dufner stands at 7-under.

Adam Scott and Jim Furyk are tied for second playing on the front side.

Sweden's Jonas Blixt is charging up the leaderboard. He's 3-under for the day through 14 holes, putting him just two shots back. He's tied with Steve Stricker, Henrik Stenson and Matt Kuchar.

Defending champ Rory McIlroy chipped in for birdie on the final hole and posted a 3-under 67 that gives him the clubhouse lead at 3-under.
