National signing day comes for local athletes

Wednesday's winter storm put a hold on signing day on hold for many of the schools across the Rochester area, but some braved the weather and celebrated our local athletes.

Over at Aquinas, four kids signed their letters of intent.

Alex Bianchi - Mercyhurst - Lacrosse

Amber Thomas - Bryant - Soccer

Jaya Granger - Cheyney - Track

Charlie Rist - Football - Penn State

Up in Irondequoit, linebacker Myles Nicholas, a first-team all state selection in 2013, committed to Buffalo.

Nicholas was also part of the festivities at the Boys and Girls Club in Rochester, where multiple kids from CTC (Changing the Community) made their announcements as well.

JaQuan McCullough and Kemani Howard of Wilson, Jermaine Ponder of Bishop Kearney, and Jacquis Webb of Gates Chili were all on hand.
