Bright Spot: Children's Pavilion at Highland Park

Our Bright Spot shines on the Children’s Pavilion at Highland Park.

It is no longer there…but a reconstruction committee kicked off a campaign Wednesday night to bring it back.

“The Children’s Pavilion existed in Highland Park from 1890, until it was dismantled in 1963,” explained capital campaign co-chair Edna Claunch, “and it was an intricate part of the community. It was a place for children to go to explore things, to let their imaginations run free.”

“(W)e have an opportunity to reconstruct the Children’s Pavilion,” she added, “so that our entire community can share in the joy of children playing, enjoying all the community.”

Our Bright Spot shines on what’s new is old again – a safe haven for all children at Highland Park. For more information on the project, click here.
