Our Bright Spot remembers Bob Maney.

Bob was remembered at Rochester Rotary on Tuesday, where he served as a past-president.

“Bob was a wonderful person,” said Rotarian Perry Bradley, “a great Rotarian devoted to the Rochester Rotary Campus, always read to help out, was a wonderful asset to the LPGA over many years and we’ll miss him as a Rotarian – and I know I ‘ll miss him as a wonderful friend.”

He was honored throughout the community for making lives better. He was a frequent commentator on our newscasts for financial matters, and his familiar laugh rang out at every LPGA Tournament, where he volunteered with a smile.

“Anywhere he went, there was laughter,” said Dr. Barry Culhane, assistant to the president at RIT. “There was a lot of teasing that went on. But most of all, there was a great camaraderie – and Bob Maney was “Service above Self,” embodied.”

Bob Maney was 89 years old.
