R-H grad performing with headlining act at Jazz Fest tonight

Michael Cottone gave us a live performance on Good Day Rochester this morning, as he prepares to headline the Jazz Fest with Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox tonight.

Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox is headlining tonight's lineup at the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival.

Tickets remain available for the 8 p.m. show at Eastman Theatre.

The band's trumpet player is Michael Cottone, a Rush-Henrietta High School graduate who was one of the inaugural winners of the Jazz Fest scholarship back in 2003. He joined us on Good Day Rochester this morning and gave us a solo performance, as he prepares to take the big stage at Kodak Hall tonight.

You can also see our interview with Scott Bradlee himself here.
