August 18, 2018 — Human trafficking is a real and growing problem in our area and the local group "Angels of Mercy" is working to help women caught up in it. They're getting ready for an event that will help educate the public about trafficking of women and children and to help raise money for programs to help local victims.
Plus, the annual Alzheimer's Association International Conference is the world's largest and most influential meeting dedicated to the study of Alzheimers disease. More than six-thousand scientists from around the world attend and, each year, fascinating research is presented. Among the discoveries shared at this year's conference-- the connection between Alzheimer's and blood pressure control. Also, how a woman's reproductive history may affect her risk of dementia.
