What's Going Around - Week of April 8, 2018
(WHAM) - Here is what's going around for the week of April 8, 2018.
Dr. Carolyn Stern from UR Medicine Urgent Care in Farmington is seeing strep throat, coughs and the flu.
Dr. Stern said flu numbers are lower, but we are not out of the woods yet. If you have flu symptoms, just stay home.
Dr. David Carlson from UR Medicine Urgent Care in Newark is seeing colds and sore throats.
Dr. Carlson reminds his patients that the common cold is most often caused by viruses and will last approximately 7-10 days. Anti-biotics do not help and may cause harm.
Your doctor or healthcare provider can give you the best advice.
