(WHAM) - Here is what's going around for the week of February 18, 2018.
Dr. Carolyn Stern of UR Medicine Urgent Care in Henrietta is seeing skin infections.
Dr. Stern said if you have an infected wound, use a washcloth and warm, soapy water three times each day for 15-20 minutes until it heals. You should also cover the area with a bandage until it heals. If it gets worse, see a doctor.
Dr. David Carlson from UR Medicine Urgent Care in Farmington is seeing cases of the flu.
Dr. Carlson said to avoid contact with anyone who is sick and remember to wash your hands frequently. It is never ever too late to get your flu shot.
