Crime Stoppers: Nick K 5K

Nick Kapusniak, formerly of Webster, was gunned down in a random drive-by shooting in St. Louis, where he was attending pharmacy school, in 2014.

Friends of Nick Kapusniak, a former Webster resident who was shot and killed in a random drive-by shooting while away at pharmacy school in St. Louis in 2014, are holding a 5K in his memory this weekend.

The Nick K 5K starts at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Webster Parks and Recreation facility on Chiyoda Drive. Registration closes Thursday at 11 a.m. You can find more information here.

Kapusniak's friend Nick Malahosky and his dad, Mark Malahosky, and Crime Stoppers chairman Paul Hawkins, joined joined us on Good Day Rochester this morning to talk about 'Nick K' and why they're using this event to keep his memory alive.

We also call your attention to Wendyl Jones, 41, wanted for a bank robbery in Brighton, a probation violation in Monroe County, and criminal contempt and petit larceny in Rochester. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 423-9300.
