Wolverine/Swamp Thing creator passes away
The comic book writer who created iconic characters including Wolverine and Swamp Thing has passed away.
Len Wein worked for both DC Comics and Marvel Comics during his long career as a writer and editor. DC Comics confirmed his death at age 69 after several online reports.
While at DC, Wein created Swamp Thing and was an editor on many of its biggest comics, including "Batman" and the highly influential "Watchmen." At Marvel, he co-created Wolverine as well as many of the most popular characters in the "X-Men" comics, including Storm, Colossus and Nightcrawler.
Many comic creators have tweeted tributes, as has actor Hugh Jackman, who became famous playing Wolverine in the "X-Men" movies.
