3 people, including 2 kids, hospitalized after Henrietta crash
Henrietta, N.Y. (WHAM) - Three people, including two children under the age of ten, were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital after a crash in Henrietta Friday afternoon.
Monroe County Sheriff's deputies were called to the intersection of Lehigh Station Road and Pinnacle Road around 12:15 p.m. for a reported three-vehicle collision.
Investigators said a 76-year-old man from Fairport was driving a red SUV east on Lehigh Station Road and ran a red light. The red SUV hit a gray SUV that was driving south on Pinnacle Road, which flipped over and landed on the hood of a black car in the left-hand turning lane of Pinnacle Road.
The gray SUV was driven by a 29-year-old Honeoye Falls man and had three children as passengers between the ages of four and ten. Two of the children were taken to Strong Hospital by CHS Ambulance with minor injuries. The Fairport man was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Fairport man was issued a citation for passing a red signal.
Deputies said alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the crash.
Traffic was slowed down for about one hour while vehicles and debris were taken off of the roads.
