3 teens arrested for Livonia school bomb threat
LIVONIA, N.Y. (WHAM) - Livingston County Sheriff's deputies arrested three teenagers on Thursday in connection with a bomb threat at the school.
Investigators said the district received a call on Wednesday around 4:45 p.m., warning about a bomb being hidden in the school that would detonate the next day. A second message sent later said "it wasn't sent intentionally."
The Sheriff's Office nitrate K9 "Kane" and other investigators were called to the school to search the grounds.
Investigators worked with the Livingston County District Attorney’s Office and the New York State Intelligence Center to trace the source of the online threat.
Three students - two 15 year olds and a 16-year-old - were determined to be responsible for the threat. Each was charged with one felony count of falsely reporting an incident 2nd.
The 15 year olds were referred to family court; the 16 year old was charged as an adult. All of the suspects' names are being withheld due to their ages.
