All charges dropped against former Ontario town water utilities supervisor
Ontario, N.Y. – All charges have been dropped against the former water utilities supervisor of the Town of Ontario, Wayne County.
Rodney Peets had been charged with a number of charges in October, including offering a false instrument for filing, tampering with a public record and official misconduct. Investigators accused him of altering reports to the town after failing to take care of leaks in the town’s water system.
Our news partners at The Times of Wayne County report, Tuesday, all charges against Mr. Peets were dropped. The Times quotes Wayne County District Attorney Mike Colarco, who suggested that, while the judge may have felt there was incompetence on Mr. Peets’ part, but nothing criminal.
“There was not enough evidence to convict the guy,” Colarco told The Times.
