Buffalo mayor makes good on Razorsharks bet with buffalo wings
Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - Buffalo's mayor Byron Brown made good on a bet Tuesday that he made weeks ago.
Mayor Brown made a bet with Rochester mayor Lovely Warren on the outcome of the Premier Basketball League championship.
The Buffalo 716ers faced off against the Rochester Razorsharks in the semi-finals - and the Razorsharks beat them 125-88.
Rochester ended up winning the championship over Lake Michigan, 93-92. This was the third straight PBL title for the Razorsharks.
Mayor Brown paid up for the bet - in the form of buffalo wings.
"While I was hoping to be treated to a garbage plate this morning, I had some of our signature wings delivered to Rochester so you can all enjoy them," Brown said. "I can even smell them from here."
Mayor Warren declared Tuesday "Rochester Razorshark Day."
