Rochester, N.Y. – Tuesday night, dozens gathered in Rochester to honor members of law enforcement.
The Genesee Valley Concerns of Police Survivors organization held its Candlelight Memories Vigil at Christ Episcopal Church on East Main Street in Rochester.
The vigil honored members of law enforcement who had fallen in and outside the line of duty, as well as those who had been injured or are serving in the military.
“It’s just a way to pay them respect,” said Ellen Guerdat, vice president of the Genesee Valley C.O.P.S. “This is a tough time of years for the survivors, so it’s our way to let them know we remember their officers.”
