23-year-old dies after crashing into pole in Lima

LIMA, N.Y. (WHAM) - A 23-year-old man from Hemlock has died after crashing into a utility pole in Lima on Saturday night.

Livingston County Sheriff's deputies were on scene investigating a car crash on Clay Street in Lima Saturday night after a car slammed into a utility pole just south of Routes 5 & 20 around 10:30.

The driver, later identified as 23-year-old Brandon Curtis, was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital. According to Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty, he later died at the hospital.

Curtis was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Deputies are investigating the cause of the crash.
