Celebrating Christmas at Henrietta's Tinker Nature Park
Henrietta, N.Y. - Families celebrated Christmas early in Henrietta Saturday.
Children at Tinker Nature Park met Santa Claus, made their own tree ornaments and enjoyed holiday music Saturday afternoon.
The Tinker Homestead and Farm Museum was also decorated for the holiday, the same way it has been decorated for six generations, with plenty of historic pieces.
“It's interesting because a lot of people in the Rochester area have a lot of heirloom pieces that are like the houses set-up, so we get to hear a lot of stories shared from the pieces that are in the house," said Erin Malley, Park Naturalist at Tinker.
Donations to the Rush-Henrietta Food Terminal were also accepted at the nature center.
If you missed the fun Saturday, the festivities pick back up Sunday from 12 - 3 PM.
