Deputies charge Canandaigua woman with selling drugs that caused fatal OD
Canandaigua, N.Y. (WHAM) - A woman from Canandaigua was arrested Wednesday in connection with a fatal drug overdose in 2017.
Ontario County Sheriff's deputies said Robin Vertigans, 36, was with a person who fatally overdosed on a combination of cocaine and fentanyl in November 2017.
Vertigans is accused of providing the victim with the drugs on the day of the overdose in Gorham.
Deputies arrested Vertigans and charged her with criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd. She was arraigned and committed to the Ontario County Jail without bail.
Vertigans is scheduled to be back in Gorham Town Court to answer to the charge at a later date.
