Deputies: Man arrested for driving 115 mph on Rt. 390
Groveland, N.Y. (WHAM) - Livingston County Sheriff's deputies said they arrested a man who was driving a rental car at 115 mph Saturday on Rt. 390.
Deputies said they were called about a speeding car by another driver on Rt. 390 North.
A deputy spotted a Mercedes SUV driving above 115 mph while passing several vehicles and driving in the center of road, using both lanes.
Deputies pulled over the SUV and found 24-year-old Ankit Vora with his parents. Vora was driving to visit Niagara Falls in the SUV, which was a rental. He is from Mumbai, India, according to deputies.
Vora was arrested and charged with reckless driving, and two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment, as well as a speeding ticket for 115mph.
Vora was arraigned and remanded to the Livingston County Jail on $500 cash bail or $1,000 bond.
