SENECA, N.Y. (WHAM)- Deputies say a Waterloo man is facing assault charges after he allegedly fired a shotgun at his roommate three times Sunday night.

The Seneca County Sheriff's arrested 27-year-old Jon Lamere just before 9 p.m.after an incident with his roommate on Caroline Road in Waterloo.

Deputies say Lamere fired a shotgun three times at his roommate while they were fighting.

Lamere's roommate was uninjured, but was checked out at the scene.

Lamere was arraigned in Junius town Court and charged with first degree attempted assault and second degree menacing.

He is being held in the Seneca County Correctional Facility with bail set at $2,000 cash. He is set to appear back in court on April 26.

An Order of Protection was issued for the victim. Deputies have not released their name yet.
