Deputies: Two seriously injured after motorcycle hits car in Penfield

PENFIELD, N.Y. (WHAM) - Deputies say two people are seriously injured following an accident in the area of Penbrooke Drive and Route 250 in Penfield Friday night.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, the accident happened just after 7 p.m.

Deputies say a motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Route 250 when it hit a car making a southbound turn out of Penbrooke Drive.

The motorcyclist and one person who was traveling in the car were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Deputies believe speed was a factor in the crash.

Route 250 is closed to traffic from Route 441 to Whalen Road until further notice.
