SODUS, N.Y. (WHAM) - A Victor man was arrested in the Town of Sodus on Sunday night.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office says Anthony Tiberio was driving a stolen vehicle on Route 104.

Deputies were alerted when Tiberio drove past a marked sheriff's vehicle; a license plate scanner showed the vehicle was stolen out of Ohio.

Tiberio did not stop for deputies and then fled on foot.

Deputies say Tiberio fled on Main Street in the Town of Sodus; he then went through an apartment complex, and into the woods.

Deputies found Tiberio shortly after near Route 88.

He is now facing multiple charges including criminal possession of stolen property and fleeing the scene.

Tiberio was arraigned in the Town of Sodus Court and remanded to Wayne County Jail.

He will appear in the Town of Ontario Court, Town of Williamson Court, and the Sodus Town Court at later dates.
