Groveland, N.Y. (WHAM) - Livingston County Sheriff's deputies arrested a Tonawanda woman after they say she crashed an ATV with child riders while drunk.

On Wednesday, deputies said they were called to Groveland Hill Road near Vanbuskirk Road around 6:20 p.m. for a reported ATV crash.

Deputies said they arrived and found 51-year-old Sheryl Palermo was driving the ATV on Vanbuskirk Road with two passengers, ages 8 and 10. Palmero was driving too fast, according to deputies, and flipped the ATV in a ditch on the west side of the road.

No one was injured in the crash, but deputies said Palermo was suspected of being under the influence of alcohol.

Palermo was tested, arrested and charged with felony DWI, felony aggravated DWI under Leandra's Law, felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and several traffic violations.

Palermo had previously been convicted of DWI and had her driver’s license revoked as a result.

Palermo was remanded to the Livingston County Sheriff's Office on $750 cash bail or $1,500 bond. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office had recommended $7,500 cash or $15,000 bond.
